What “stupidly ugly image quality and subtitle render?” Have you used VLC lately? Lol.

  2. Oes says:

What one person define as “perfect” is not necessarily good at all for someone else. It is also very hard to tell if the quality actually is good if you never have seen anything else.

My advice is to use something else than VLC from a neutral standpoint for the playback and image quality, but if you don’t care (or can’t even see any difference for some reason) you are better off sticking with the player you like the most.

  3. Demosthenes says:

LOL @ everyone using VLC and claiming it’s good.

  4. Imbackhome says:

vlc…. sucks for you people who’s using that, enjoy the stupidly ugly image quality and subtitle render.

  5. Vertigo says:

The direct download isn’t working anymore.

  6. Mugen says:

I don’t know why everyone claims to have problems. I have yet to have an issue playing these episodes with VLC media player. Perfect every time.

  7. Oes says:

Seems like we got us some playback issues here people.

Firstly, I do not recommend the usage K-Lite. I’ve encountered issues in the past that would only appear exclusively with that codec pack. Furthermore, it makes use of stolen components (in case that would actually bother anyone).

If you want to use mplayer, well, good luck and have fun with that.

I do not recommend VLC either. It is relatively heavy on the machine, and there is no way to alter the codecs or their in-depth settings. The playback quality is mediocre to say the least, and the playback is very likely to crach if any playback issues are encountered.

Personally, and on the behalf of almost any media-nerd out there, I recommend CCCP with the embedded MPCHC media player. It is available from http://www.cccp-project.net/. If you still got issues with the playback of high-resolution AVC files the issue the CoreAVC decoder is likely to fix your problems. It is not freeware, but can be bought from http://coreavc.com/. Once you have installed it, follow this guide on how to make it work together with CCCP: http://www.cccp-project.net/wiki/index.php?title=CoreAVC

    Thx a lot!

  9. orangpelupa says:

    @sound issue, not sync etc

the BSS releases use x264 and ass subtitile. that make decoding (playback) need fast CPU.

as stated by Jinzu and bodies, you can try using other application to play the .mkv.

also try to use VLC. it can play a lot of codec and lightweight.

    thanks

  10. luke says:

    thanks for the release guys!

  11. Jinzu says:

@Karg, have you updated Klite recently?
Cause I heard some other people had that problem too (though that was a pretty long time ago), you should try reinstalling a slightly older version.
(I’m just using VLC btw, I reccomend it. :P )
